The Renowned Musician Encourages Backing to Propel Palestinian Solidarity Song to UK Christmas No 1.

A fundraising initiative is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the peak of the festive singles chart. The project hopes to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also spotlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Possibility for Unity and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians during the holidays. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I won't be completely disheartened if it doesn't manage to, holiday tracks are a unique phenomenon.”

Defiant Message of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the adaptation of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“The song holds a profound significance for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would rather die in dignity than exist without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we want to live a respectful existence that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Star-Studded Lineup

The song was recorded in the wake of a large-scale benefit event held in the autumn. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the piece was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The diverse array of artists featured on Lullaby features a range of well-known figures from the industry. All took part in the September show, which reportedly raised a considerable total for relief efforts.

Production and Release

Lullaby was brought to life by a team of talented individuals. The song showcases a combination of the original Arabic with new English lyrics.

The group managing the initiative have clarified that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a specific fund. These proceeds will be distributed to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an established charity.

“We haven't set a specific target,” a spokesperson said. “We aim for the maximum achievable. Of course, the more the merrier. Every penny goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The context in the territory was characterized as its widespread damage, with a huge proportion of buildings reportedly levelled or seriously harmed.

“Against that backdrop, a few million doesn’t make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is primarily raising awareness for this issue and proving that another narrative exists.”

The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the benefit event will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from mid-December.
