Loyal supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who jumped a barrier and seized the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the Australian man pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features clips of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore attendees had queued up to see the actors of Wicked

Many of attendees had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the surprising bond between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, winning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
