Rice's Recent Off-Field Troubles Rice missed the first six games of this season following an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that resulted in several individuals injured. Rice was given a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
